Stink Bugs. A funny name for a pest that can do serious damage. Stink Bugs came to this country through Pennsylvania in the late 1990's and have since made their way throughout its many counties, into Delaware, Maryland and beyond. In their travels, they have become the scourge of many farmers because of the crop devastation they can cause, wiping them out entirely in some cases. Given our rich agricultural base, Stink Bugs present a huge problem best met with the advanced, professional pest control solutions we offer.

In addition to being a huge problem for farmers, the BMSB (Brown Marmorated Stink Bug) can present quite a few other challenges to the home owner as well. First, the havoc they can wreak on your own garden is just as significant as they can cause commercial crops; they are particularly fond of apples, peaches, citrus, soy beans, peppers and corn. Next is their potential for home invasion. Though not damaging to the house itself, they can pose a problem to internal food stores, attract other pests, swarm about and smell badly when crushed.
The yard spray we use here at Bennett is one of the most effective treatments to keeping your home and surrounding areas protected from Stink Bugs and the trouble they bring with them. Our spray forms a protective "barrier" that keeps Stink Bugs and other pests like fleas, ticks and mosquitoes away from you, your home and your property.

Stopping The Stink

The best way to keep Stink Bugs away (or at least, out of your house) is the same as keeping other pests at bay and that means sealing cracks around windows, doors, siding, utility pipes, behind chimneys and underneath the wood fascia. Other openings should be sealed with good quality silicone or silicone-latex caulk and damaged screens on doors and windows should be repaired or replaced.
