Quarterly Pest Control Service
Quarterly Pest Control Service… Why do you need it?
Pest Control is worth it if you want to really deal with an issue…With pests, damage, and risk increases in time, so are the costs – this is because pests tend to breed a lot. Obviously, the more the pests, the more the damage. Because it is a never-ending battle, quarterly pest control is extremely effective at preventing the reappearance of insects and other pests, even rodents, from invading your home.
At Bennett Termite, we will come out 4 times within a year. This will be scheduled once every 3 months via our central scheduling office and can even be customized to what day and time. You will receive a call the day before, reminding you of your appointment. After the initial service, you do not need to be present. However, if you or someone of the household, would like to be there, let us know the day before so that we can note that for the technician on the account. We try extremely hard to assign the same technician for your service but keep in mind they do have vacations and sometimes they feel a little under the weather and will need to use a sick day. We have many trained technicians/exterminators that we’re sure will satisfy your pest control needs.
Our quarterly program starts with our exterminator asking you about any problems you’ve been having. This is the time to tell them about persistent issues you may have with ants, spiders, crickets, rodents, or other general pests. Using this information, the pest control technician will determine what actions to take during this visit.
Next, only upon request, we will treat any problem areas inside the structure of your home. Bennett Termite hopes to reduce the need to routinely apply products to the interior of your home. If special attention needs to be given to a particular area, they’ll take care of it at this time. No matter the treatment or application, the insecticides or rodent bait used today will be applied per the label and are generally odor-free. Any questions pertaining to the safety of the chemicals used, please address these concerns with the technician before they treat. The technician will follow the pest/rodent-specified label guidelines and are environmentally safe.
The exterior treatment comes next. Just as they did with the inside of your home, the exterminator will walk around the outside of your home. They’ll treat the foundation, 2 feet up and 2 feet out, entry doors, as well as around the bottom of windowsills on the first floor. This creates a barrier so that pests from the outside won’t attempt to come in. We will treat the inside and outside of your garage and also add rodent stations on the interior of the garage, if necessary. The technician will knock down cobwebs around the entry points of your home. We will also place rodent stations inside your crawl space.
We guarantee our Quarterly Pest Control and will provide extra services, if needed, up to two times between visits at no additional cost. We look forward to working with you and will do our best to make you a happy customer.

Ants
Ants rank among the most common of all pests in Sussex County, Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Very aggressive and invasive, established ant colonies can harbor close to a half million ants and the goal of nearly every one is to continuously feed and sustain the colony. Active all year long and in any weather condition, foraging ants can be found just about anywhere in your home leaving an invisible chemical trail for other ants to follow: through cracks, under carpets, behind baseboards and just about any place else you can think.
Bees
A quick glance (or while you’re running and flailing your arms) can make it hard to tell if you’re dealing with a Honey Bee, a Hornet or a Yellow Jacket. And while the Yellow Jacket is considered to be among the most dangerous of all stinging insects in the United States, the fact is, any of the three can sting if they feel threatened. Couple this with the potential risks of allergic reactions and it’s easy to see why the best way to deal with bees is to simply call us.
Crickets
Unless they are named Jimminy, wear a top hat, carry a cane and sing, crickets are just plain annoying once they get in your house. First, there is that noise. The one that keeps you up at night and can send you searching throughout the house trying to find the source. Next is the damage they can cause: crickets will eat just about anything and routinely ruin clothes, furniture, bedding, fruits and vegetables and a (laundry) list of other items in your home best kept for you and your family.
Fleas
Most commonly associated with scratching cats and dogs, fleas can get carried into your house from just about anyone. and once they are inside, everyone is fair game. Feeding on their host’s blood supply, flea colonies can quickly overtake an entire home – from the cat and dog to the kids, mom and dad and just about everyone else that comes into the house. And, as if the constant and sometimes painful scratching isn’t enough, fleas pose genuine health problems by spreading diseases like typhus and tularemia.
Mosquitoes
Some of the same things that attract us to this area, like the beauty of its natural wetlands and marshes, is exactly what attracts mosquitoes. And while most pests infest our homes, making them uncomfortable to live in, mosquitoes do the opposite, attacking us outside, turning a beautifully landscaped lawn, porch or patio grilling area into an unusable space that we can only admire from a distance. In addition to be annoying, mosquitoes also pose very real health risks, able to transmit diseases such as the West Nile Virus as they move between food sources.
Rodents
Some people think mice are cute. We are not those people. Why? Because we are well aware of the health hazards rodents like mice and rats bring into homes. Able to cause incredible amounts of damage in your home that includes destroying property, contaminating food and bringing other insects in with them like ticks and mosquitoes. The trails of fecal matter, saliva and urine they leave can also bring diseases into your home that put your family at elevated health risks they should not have to face.
Roaches
Roaches can be found in almost every environment and in any home throughout the United States, including right here in Sussex County, Delaware and The Eastern Shore. The most common residential ones found on the East Coast occupy houses apartments and condos. Since they are active primarily at night, roaches can be hard to detect, however, the damage they can do is not. Feeding on everything from food to drywall, roaches can wreak havoc also carry contagious diseases including typhoid and dysentery.
Spiders
FYI: Spiders are not considered insects but instead classified as arachnids. Furthermore, some “spiders” aren’t even considered spiders at all, like the famous Granddaddy Long Legs, which is actually considered a “Harvester”. Confused? Don’t be, because this is all you really need to know: Spiders as a whole, can be very useful creatures to have around the house as they hunt and eat other peskier, harmful insects. However, watching and controlling them around your home as well as identifying them will keep the threat of a spider infestation in check.
Stink Bugs
Stink bugs feed on many farm crops including soybeans and corn. They are a prominent pest here on the Eastern Shore and throughout Southern Delaware. What makes them a problem for homeowners is that often times, you don’t know that they are in your house until they’ve infested it! The problem lies in the fact that they lie dormant “overwintering” in your house and get active again with the onset of warmer weather. Resistant to many treatments, stink bugs require all the professional resources we have to eliminate them.
Ticks
Ticks might be tiny but the picture to the right shows the actual size of the problems they pose. These blood-thirsty creatures redefine what it means to be a parasite, happily gorging on the blood of its host so they can grow and reproduce. Once their hunger is satisfied, female ticks will detach from their host and lay about 1,000 eggs and each new tick that hatches is ready to feed immediately. Growing in numbers as evidenced by increasing calls for their control, ticks are notorious for spreading diseases Like Lyme and Rocky Mountain Fever.

I needed a termite inspection for my VA Home Loan. Bennett Termite schedule the inspection quickly and showed up on time. The inspector was very polite and informative. Their fee was better than I expected. I would recommend Bennett Termite & Pest Solutions to anyone in need of the service.
Very happy with your service and price. Always done quickly and very flexible on changes of schedule.
Thank You!
Our first experience with Bennett Pest Control was approximately 4 years ago when we encountered our first “bed bug infestation” when a tenant moved out of a rental home. We had called a number of Pest Control companies who used a chemical treatment and would need to treat for 2-4 months. After calling Bennett Pest Control and meeting with Bruce, he explained the heat treatment, the cost, and the down time.
The heat treatment would kill everything in the home (ie; roaches, ants, spiders, bedbugs and their eggs) down time would be 6-8 hours, and cost was less than one month’s rent. Still, not sure as what to do, Bruce said “Let’s do this house, if you still are not convinced, or we have to come back for any reason, we will discount the cost.” We will also guarantee our work, and have a canine inspection upon completion.
Needless to say, the ONLY people I call when there is any signs or even a “maybe possible” sign of a bedbug when completing a move out inspection is Bennett Pest Control . They are fast, courteous, professional, and less expensive than having 2+ months of down time with no guarantee. We have never had to have Bennett Pest Control go back to re-treat. It is always 100% pest free after one treatment.
Thank you!
“I just wanted to let you know that I had the opportunity to speak with Keven today and he was fantastic. I was told that I had an issue at a rental property of mine in Fenwick. I needed you all to come out and treat it but I couldn’t be there. Kevin called me and explained everything and answered all of my questions in a way that made me feel like I was truly being taken care of. Keven is the reason I will remain a customer in the future.
Please thank him for earning you another customer.”
“I was very impressed with the professionalism of Robert and Dean yet also how kindly they treated me and my family. We were devastated to find that we had a problem. They assured us that we are not alone and would do everything they could to help us. Robert gave us all the information we needed to know with how to handle the situation. Under Dean’s care, Bennett acted swiftly and had our problem, and our stress level, under control in no time. We are so grateful to them for their service.”

“I just wanted to write a quick note and tell you that I had a great customer service experience with Jared. I dealt with him on the telephone and I was very pleased with his degree of professionalism over the phone. He was warm, friendly and assured me if I needed anything, to just call back. He is definitely an asset to your business.”
“I’m sorry that it has taken me so long to acknowledge one of your employees. His name is Fred and he did a termite inspection for us back in Jan. of this year. Fred found a significant source of heat loss and security in our conditioned crawlspace. It turns out that our builder had not sealed the crawl space from the outside elements. Fred felt the draft and reported it to us. We have been very happy with your company for almost three years now and could not be happier. All of your employees are first rate and your service is top notch. Thank you for running such an efficient business!”
“I have been very satisfied with Bennett Termite & Pest Solutions’ overall attention to service and my needs. I had a kitchen full of ants and company arriving. I called Bennett Termite & Pest Solutions and they came to my aid as quickly as possible and saved my weekend.”
“I have been impressed with Dean and his team at Bennett Termite and Pest Solutions for my monthly home pest control services. Their professional service and knowledge is essential to protecting my home and property without risk to my children and pets. With their monthly service, the appearance of my lawn has improved and I am able to enjoy my yard without the annoyance of ants, flies, and mosquitoes.”
“We are so happy that we have Dean Bennett and his crew back on our home protection team. Dealing with a man who knows his stuff leaves us relaxed. It is both a rarity and a relief to deal with your company, confident that our best interests are your priority. Thank you for bringing your quality service to our home and to our community.”
“Right Property Management has done business with Dean Bennett for years and we find him to be extremely Customer Service Oriented. It is not unusual to call Dean with a problem and he says, “I’ll be there in a few minutes to check on it”. Can’t do any more than that for your customers.”
“Not only are Dean and his company quick to respond, they have even come out the same day we called to help us out. The company is easily reached, timely, responsive and friendly. We highly recommend Bennett Pest Solutions.”
I’ve been impressed with Bennett Termite Pest Control from the moment I called them hysterically. Their response time was the same day in addition to the next day coming out again to treat the interior of my house. I am very particular and cautious about people entering my home, but when the technician came to my home, he was professional, hardworking and reassuring my rodent problem would disappear. I not only chose Bennett because they are locals to the area and know how to treat problems, but they heard the urgency in my voice to help. I can rely on Bennett to get the job done right the first time.
